Anti-Ms CD44, IM7, PS, 25µg

A rat monoclonal reagent from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone IM7, is directed against CD44 (Ly-24), described as an ~80 - 95 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions (S2, S3). The antibody reacts with an extracellular epitope found on all isoforms of CD44 and on both murine allotypes (S3). CD44 is expressed on the surface of many cell types, including leukocytes, hepatocytes, endothelial, epithelial, and mesenchymal cells, with expression levels increasing upon T and B cell activation (S3).

STEMCELL Technologies lists this clone as suitable for cell isolation, ELISA, flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, CyTOF, and functional assays (S2, S3). The PerCP-Cy5.5 conjugate has been demonstrated by flow cytometry on C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes against a rat IgG2b, kappa isotype control (S2). According to the manufacturer's safety data sheet, the product is supplied as a clear liquid, is not classified as hazardous under GHS or the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, and is intended for research use only and not for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic uses unless otherwise stated (S1).
