Anti-Ms CD44, IM7, BT, 50µg

From STEMCELL Technologies, the IM7 clone is a rat monoclonal antibody that recognizes CD44 (Ly-24), an approximately 80–95 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. The antibody is used in cell isolation and ELISA, and has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits, including the EasySep™ Mouse CD4+ T Cell Enrichment Kit.

CD44 is expressed on the surface of many cell types, including leukocytes, hepatocytes, and endothelial, epithelial, and mesenchymal cells. Expression levels increase upon activation of T and B cells, and memory cells exhibit a CD44[High] phenotype. The target binds many ligands, including hyaluronic acid, collagen, fibronectin, growth factors and metalloproteinases, thus modulating processes such as lymphocyte activation, recirculation and homing, leukocyte rolling and aggregation, hematopoiesis, and tumor metastasis. The IM7 monoclonal antibody reacts with an extracellular epitope found on all isoforms of CD44 and both murine allotypes.

The reagent is of the IgG2b, kappa isotype and is available in multiple conjugations, including Alexa Fluor® 488, APC, Biotin, FITC, PE, PerCP-Cy5.5, and unconjugated formats. It is suited for cell isolation, CyTOF, ELISA, flow cytometry, functional assays, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation, supporting research areas in epithelial cell biology, immunology, and stem cell biology.
