Anti-Ms CD44, IM7, AD, 25µg

A rat monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody targeting CD44 (Ly-24), supplied by STEMCELL Technologies in an Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated format. Clone IM7 recognizes an extracellular epitope found on all isoforms of CD44 and both murine allotypes. CD44 is described as an ~80 - 95 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, expressed on leukocytes, hepatocytes, endothelial, epithelial, and mesenchymal cells, with expression levels increasing upon T and B cell activation and memory cells displaying a CD44[High] phenotype.

The antibody binds ligands including hyaluronic acid, collagen, fibronectin, growth factors, and metalloproteinases, and modulates processes such as lymphocyte activation, recirculation and homing, leukocyte rolling and aggregation, hematopoiesis, and tumor metastasis. Clone IM7 is used in cell isolation and ELISA, and has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits, including the EasySep™ Mouse CD4+ T Cell Enrichment Kit (Catalog #19752). The antibody is reported to react with baboon, cat, chimpanzee, cow, cynomolgus monkey, dog, horse, human, mouse, pig, rhesus macaque, and squirrel monkey.
