Anti-Ms CD4, RM4-5, AZ, 100µg

This rat monoclonal IgG2a, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies targets mouse CD4, an ~55 kDa single-chain type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. The reagent is supplied as an APC conjugate and has been verified for flow cytometry, with clone RM4-5 reported to be applicable in FC, IF, and IH applications.

CD4 is expressed at relatively high levels by most thymocytes and a subpopulation of T cells (T-helper/inducer cells), and at lower levels on dendritic cells; in the mouse it is not found on monocytes/macrophages. Binding of the RM4-5 antibody inhibits CD4 ligand binding in vitro, and its binding can be blocked by the clone GK1.5 antibody. The antibody was raised against BALB/c mouse thymocytes and was purified by affinity chromatography before conjugation with APC.

For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.25 μg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL volume, with titration recommended for each application. The product is formulated in phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide, and is stable when stored undiluted at 2 - 8°C. The solution should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light.
