Anti-Ms CD4, RM4-4, BT, 500µg

This biotin-conjugated monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies is a laboratory reagent that targets mouse CD4. Clone RM4-4 is verified for flow cytometry, with demonstrated performance on C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes using a streptavidin secondary reagent.

CD4 is an approximately 55 kDa single-chain type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily and containing four extracellular Ig-like domains. It is expressed at relatively high levels by most thymocytes and by a subpopulation of T cells (T-helper/inducer cells), and at lower levels on dendritic cells. In the mouse, CD4 is not expressed by monocytes or macrophages. CD4 binds a non-polymorphic region of MHC class II and acts as a co-receptor to the T cell receptor (TCR), enhancing the avidity of the TCR association with the MHC II-antigen complex and amplifying intracellular signalling through interaction with cytoplasmic tyrosine kinases such as Lck.

Binding of the RM4-4 antibody does not block binding of antibody clones RM4-5 or GK1.5. The product is a clear liquid and is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) or the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, and it is not regulated for transport by DOT, TDG, MEX, ICAO, IATA, IMDG, RID, ADR, or ADN.
