Anti-Ms CD267 (TACI), 8F10, AZ, 100µg

STEMCELL Technologies supplies the 8F10 antibody, a rat IgG2a, kappa monoclonal antibody that reacts with mouse CD267, also known as TACI (transmembrane activator and CAML interactor) or TNFRSF 13B. This ~30 kDa type III transmembrane protein belongs to the TNF receptor superfamily and is expressed primarily on the surface of maturing subsets of splenic B cells, including transition type 2 (T2) and marginal zone (MZ) B cells, as well as on plasma cells and plasmablasts. Expression of CD267 is upregulated on B cells exposed to LPS both in vitro and in vivo.

The molecule plays important roles in humoral immunity by regulating B cell survival, proliferation, and maturation through its interaction with the ligands APRIL and BAFF. Ligand binding stimulates activation of several transcription factors, including NF-κB, and has been shown to induce either proliferation or apoptosis, suggesting a dual role in B cell regulation. CD267 also has an essential function in immunoglobulin isotype switching and B cell differentiation in response to thymus-independent antigens.

This APC (Allophycocyanin)-conjugated reagent was raised in Rat (Wistar) hosts against the extracellular domain of mouse CD267 (TACI) recombinant protein. Flow cytometry is verified for this antibody, which has also been reported for the same application, and the clone has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep Mouse Pan-B Cell Isolation Kit and EasySep Mouse B Cell Isolation Kit. The antibody is supplied in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.1% gelatin, purified by column chromatography, and stable at 2–8°C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.25 µg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 µL, with titration recommended for optimal performance.
