Anti-Ms CD25, PC61.5, BT, 25µg

This biotin-conjugated monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies is a rat IgG1, lambda reagent that recognises mouse CD25 (the low-affinity interleukin-2 receptor α chain, IL-2Rα), an approximately 55 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on T and B cell progenitors, activated (but not resting) T and B cells, regulatory T (Treg) cells, dendritic cells, and activated monocytes and macrophages. It is supplied at 0.5 mg/mL in a phosphate-buffered solution (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide, purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with biotin under optimal conditions, with the solution free of unconjugated biotin.

Clone PC61.5 was raised against the IL-2-dependent cytolytic mouse T cell clone B6.1, and binding of this antibody has been shown to inhibit IL-2 binding to both low- and high-affinity receptors. The epitope recognised by PC61.5 is distinct from the IL-2 binding site and from the epitopes recognised by clones 7D4 and 3C7. Verified application is flow cytometry (FC), with immunohistochemistry (IHC) also reported in the literature; for flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.25 μg per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 μL. The product is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted and should not be frozen.
