Anti-Ms CD24, M1/69, FI, 500µg

This rat monoclonal antibody (clone M1/69, isotype IgG2b kappa), manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, is directed against murine CD24, a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein of approximately 35–45 kDa. The reagent is FITC-conjugated and is verified for flow cytometry, with the M1/69 clone also reportedly inducing agglutination and lysis of mouse red blood cells in the presence of complement. CD24 is expressed on lymphocytes, granulocytes, thymocytes, erythrocytes, epithelial cells, neurons, and dendritic cells, with differential expression during T and B cell development; it is generally absent from the majority of mature peripheral T cells and plasma cells, and is involved in regulating B cell apoptosis, lymphocyte adhesion, and co-stimulation through homophilic interactions or via ligands such as P-selectin (CD62P).

The target antigen (Gene ID 12484) is also known as CD24a, Heat stable antigen (HSA), Ly-52, Nectadrin, and Small cell lung carcinoma cluster 4 antigen. The antibody was raised in Rat (DA) hosts against C57BL/10 mouse splenic T cells and concanavalin A-activated splenocytes, purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated with FITC under optimal conditions; the solution is free of unconjugated FITC. The formulation is a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide. The product is stable at 2–8 °C when stored undiluted; do not freeze and protect from prolonged exposure to light. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.25 µg per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 µL, with titration recommended for optimal performance. The clone has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep kits.
