Anti-Ms CD19, 6D5, PE, 200µg

From STEMCELL Technologies, this PE-conjugated monoclonal antibody (Clone 6D5) targets CD19, a ~95 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of B cells. According to the manufacturer, Clone 6D5 is suitable for cell isolation and flow cytometry applications, with representative flow cytometry data shown for C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes labeled with the PE conjugate versus a rat IgG2a, kappa PE isotype control antibody.

The CD19 antigen is expressed on B cells throughout development, from early pre-B cells to plasma cells; expression is down-regulated but persists in terminally differentiated plasma cells, and CD19 is also found on follicular dendritic cells. By associating with CD21 and CD81, CD19 functions as a co-receptor for the B cell receptor and contributes to B cell activation and differentiation. The 6D5 clone has been reported to recognize the same epitope as clone ID3 in cross-competition assays.

Provided as a clear liquid by STEMCELL Technologies Canada Inc. (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada), the reagent is a rat IgG2a, kappa antibody classified as not hazardous according to the Globally Harmonized System. The 6D5 clone has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits, including the EasySep™ Mouse B Cell Isolation Kit, and is listed under the manufacturer's immunology product area.
