Anti-Ms CD150, TC15-12F12.2, AZ, 25µg

This monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies is the TC15-12F12.2 clone, which reacts with mouse CD150, also known as signaling lymphocyte activation molecule (SLAM) or SLAMF1. CD150 is an approximately 75 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that acts as a cell adhesion molecule and/or coreceptor in the immune response. It is differentially expressed on T cells, immature thymocytes, B cells, dendritic cells, macrophages, and endothelial cells, with expression patterns that vary by cell type and activation status. The antigen is rapidly induced upon activation of T cells, B cells, and dendritic cells, and synthesis by T cells is maintained on Th1 but not Th2 clones. CD150-mediated co-stimulation of TCR-activated T cells enhances IFN-γ production by Th1 cells, a response that can be augmented by binding of the TC15-12F12.2 antibody.

The molecule mediates signal transduction by associating with the intracellular protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP-2, plays a role in hematopoietic cell development, and is a useful marker for detecting multipotent hematopoietic stem cells when combined with markers such as CD48 and CD41; it is not expressed on non-multipotent hematopoietic progenitor cells. This product is supplied with the manufacturer-designated AZ conjugation, is raised in hamster and rat hosts, and is of the IgG2a, lambda isotype. It is reactive against mouse and is suitable for flow cytometry, functional assays, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation, supporting research in stem cell biology.
