Anti-Ms CD150, TC15-12F12.2, 500µg

This antibody from STEMCELL Technologies targets CD150 (signaling lymphocyte activation molecule, or SLAM), a cell adhesion molecule described as an ~75 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein. The Clone TC15-12F12.2 reagent is reactive with mouse CD150 and is offered in multiple formats, including Alexa Fluor® 488, APC, biotin, PE, PE-Cyanine7, and unconjugated, with the listed host species reported as hamster and rat. Indicated applications include flow cytometry, functional assays, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation, supporting research within the stem cell biology area.

CD150 is differentially expressed by T cells, immature thymocytes, B cells, dendritic cells, macrophages, and endothelial cells, and expression is rapidly induced upon activation of T cells, B cells, and dendritic cells. Synthesis by T cells is maintained on Th1 but not Th2 clones, and binding by the TC15-12F12.2 antibody augments CD150-mediated co-stimulation of TCR-activated T cells, enhancing IFN-γ production by Th1 cells. The molecule is reported to mediate signal transduction by associating with the intracellular protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP-2 and is described as a useful marker for the detection of multipotent hematopoietic stem cells when used alongside markers such as CD48 and CD41, while it is not expressed on non-multipotent hematopoietic progenitor cells. The antibody is of the IgG2a, lambda isotype.
