Anti-Ms CD138, 281-2, UC, 25µg

A rat (F344) monoclonal IgG2a, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, clone 281-2, targets an extracellular epitope on the core protein of mouse CD138 (also known as syndecan-1 or SDC1), a ~60–100 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein. The target is expressed on pre-B cells, immature B cells, and normal and malignant plasma cells, and has also been reported on non-hematopoietic cells such as embryonic mesenchymal, endothelial, epithelial and neural cells. The antibody was raised against the mouse NMuMG mammary gland epithelial cell line.

Supplied unconjugated at 0.5 mg/mL in a phosphate-buffered solution (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide, the reagent has been purified by affinity chromatography. It has been verified for cell separation (CellSep) and flow cytometry, and has been reported for use in functional assays, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence microscopy, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation and Western blotting. For flow cytometry, the manufacturer's suggested use is ≤1 μg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL, with titration recommended for optimal performance in each application. The product should be stored at 2–8°C and should not be frozen.
