Description

From STEMCELL Technologies, this PE-conjugated monoclonal antibody (clone N418, Armenian hamster IgG) targets mouse CD11c, a 150 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein. The antibody was raised against mouse spleen dendritic cells and has been verified for flow cytometry and cell separation applications, including purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits.

CD11c (also known as αX integrin, CR4, integrin αX chain, or p150) associates non-covalently with CD18 (β2 integrin) to form a heterodimeric cell surface adhesion receptor. Through interactions with ligands such as iC3b, fibrinogen, and CD54, this receptor participates in cell migration, cytokine production by monocytes and macrophages, T cell proliferation, leukocyte recruitment, and phagocytosis. In mice, CD11c is expressed on dendritic cells, macrophages, monocytes, granulocytes, NK cells, and a subset of T cells.

The antibody is supplied in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.1% gelatin and has been purified by affinity chromatography; the solution is free of unconjugated PE. For flow cytometry, the manufacturer suggests using ≤ 0.25 µg per 1 x 10⁶ cells in 100 µL, with titration recommended for optimal performance. Store undiluted at 2–8°C; do not freeze and protect from prolonged exposure to light. According to the manufacturer's safety data sheet, the product is not classified as hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard or the GHS.
