Anti-Ms CD117, ACK2, AZ, 25µg

A rat monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone ACK2, conjugated to APC (Allophycocyanin), specifically targets mouse CD117 (c-Kit), an approximately 145 kDa type 1 transmembrane receptor that belongs to the tyrosine kinase receptor family. The antibody was raised against mouse IL-3-dependent mast cells and has been verified for flow cytometry (FC), with reported use in FACS.

The product is supplied as a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide, and has been purified by affinity chromatography before conjugation with APC under optimal conditions, with the solution free of unconjugated APC. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 1 μg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL, and titration is recommended for optimal performance in each application. The antibody is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light.

CD117 (c-Kit) is broadly expressed on hematopoietic stem cells in bone marrow, including pluripotent and erythroid progenitor cells and B and T lymphocyte precursors, as well as on mast cells. It has been reported that binding of the ACK2 antibody blocks the function of CD117.
