Anti-Ms CD117, 2B8, PE, 50µg

From STEMCELL Technologies, this rat monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody (Clone 2B8) is provided in a PE-conjugated format and targets mouse CD117 (c-Kit), an approximately 145 kDa type I transmembrane receptor for c-Kit ligand (stem cell factor/steel factor) that belongs to the tyrosine kinase receptor family.

CD117 is broadly expressed on hematopoietic stem cells in bone marrow, including pluripotent and erythroid progenitor cells and B and T lymphocyte precursors, as well as on mast cells. The receptor possesses five immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains and a cytoplasmic protein kinase domain, and binding of c-Kit ligand induces dimerization and autophosphorylation, activating intracellular signaling pathways critical for the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells. According to the manufacturer, the 2B8 clone does not block binding of c-Kit ligand and has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits. Conjugates available include Alexa Fluor® 488, APC, biotin, FITC, PE, and unconjugated, supporting applications in cell isolation, flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation for stem cell biology research.
