Anti-Ms CD117, 2B8, AD, 100µg

Rat monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies targets mouse CD117 (c-Kit), an approximately 145 kDa type I transmembrane receptor and member of the tyrosine kinase receptor family. The antibody, clone 2B8, was raised against mouse bone marrow mast cells and recognizes CD117 on hematopoietic stem cells in bone marrow, including pluripotent and erythroid progenitor cells and B and T lymphocyte precursors, as well as on mast cells. CD117 possesses five immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains and a cytoplasmic protein kinase domain, and ligand binding induces receptor dimerization and autophosphorylation.

The clone is conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488 after purification by affinity chromatography, and the solution is free of unconjugated dye. The 2B8 antibody does not block binding of c-Kit ligand. Flow cytometry has been verified as an application, with reported use in immunofluorescence microscopy and immunohistochemistry. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.25 µg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 µL volume, and titration is recommended for optimal performance in each application. The antibody has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits.

The product is supplied in phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide. It should be stored at 2–8°C undiluted, not frozen, and protected from prolonged exposure to light.
