Anti-Hu Vimentin, 1A7, UC, 100_g

A mouse monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, clone 1A7, recognizes vimentin, a class III intermediate filament expressed in mesenchymal cells. Vimentin contributes to mechanical resistance in cells and participates in cell adhesion, signaling, and migration, and it is regarded as a marker of mesenchymal-derived cells. The antibody is unconjugated, of IgG1, kappa isotype, and was prepared using a recombinant protein immunogen. Species reactivity is reported for human, mouse, and rat. The manufacturer has verified the antibody for immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and Western blotting (WB), and it has been confirmed for labeling vimentin-positive mesenchymal cells in human intestinal organoids. Suggested starting concentrations are 2.5 μg/mL for ICC/IF and 1:500 - 1:5000 for WB. The product is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and was purified by affinity chromatography.
