Anti-Hu TRA-2-49, TRA-2-49/6E, 100µg

An unconjugated primary antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, clone TRA-2-49/6E, targets the tissue non-specific isoform of alkaline phosphatase (AP). This antigen is expressed at high levels in undifferentiated pluripotent stem cells, including human and mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells, induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, and embryonal carcinoma (EC) cells, and is the same AP isozyme found in liver, bone, and kidney cells. Because AP levels decrease upon differentiation, the antibody is used to monitor the differentiation status of pluripotent stem cells.

The antibody is of mouse origin and is of the IgG1, kappa isotype. It does not cross-react with other AP isozymes, which differ through post-translational modification, and reportedly does not recognize AP from cow, dog, goat, guinea pig, hamster, mouse, rat, or sheep, or from Old World Monkeys such as the rhesus monkey, baboon, and African green monkey. Reported reactive species include cat, human, non-human primates, pig, and rabbit.

Recommended applications include flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, and Western blot. The product is supplied as a clear liquid and is intended as a laboratory reagent for research use only.
