Anti-Hu TRA-1-81, TRA-1-81, AZ, 100tests

STEMCELL Technologies offers an anti-human TRA-1-81 antibody (Clone TRA-1-81) conjugated to APC, supplied as a laboratory reagent. The antibody recognizes a carbohydrate epitope on TRA-1-81, a high-molecular-mass (> 200 kDa) glycoprotein expressed on the surface of human embryonal carcinoma (EC), embryonic germ (EG), embryonic stem (ES), and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, as well as on rhesus monkey and rat ES cell lines. No immunoreactivity is observed with mouse EC, EG, ES, or iPS cells.

The TRA-1-81 epitope is associated with a keratan-sulfated transmembrane protein identified as podocalyxin and is resistant to treatment with neuraminidase. The antibody is a mouse IgM, kappa isotype reagent and is recommended for ELISA, flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, and western blotting applications. According to the manufacturer's safety documentation, the product is a clear liquid and is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture under the Globally Harmonized System (GHS); it should be handled in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice and stored as described in the Product Information Sheet.
