Anti-Hu TRA-1-60, TRA-1-60R, 100µg

STEMCELL Technologies supplies a TRA-1-60 antibody for research on human pluripotent stem cells. TRA-1-60, also known as Podocalyxin, is described as a stem cell-specific protein and is used as a marker of undifferentiated human ES and iPS cells.

The Anti-Human TRA-1-60 Antibody, Clone TRA-1-60R has been verified for use in flow cytometry (FC), immunocytochemistry (IC), and Western blot (WB). It has been demonstrated to label human embryonic stem (ES) cells and human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells by flow cytometry, with HT1080 fibrosarcoma cells serving as a negative control. The antibody has been characterized in unconjugated format as well as conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488, biotin, and PE. It is also associated with the EasySep™ Human ES/iPS Cell TRA-1-60 Positive Selection Kit for positive selection workflows.

In immunocytochemistry applications, human ES and iPS cells cultured in mTeSR™1 on BD Matrigel™-coated glass slides have been fixed and stained with the antibody. For Western blot, denatured and reduced cell lysates from human ES cells have been analyzed, with HT1080 cells serving as a negative control. The antibody is used to assess undifferentiated cell marker expression in hPSC cultures, including in workflows supported by CloneR™ for single-cell cloning and by cGMP mTeSR™1 as a maintenance medium.
