Anti-Hu p63 (deltaN), 6190, UC, 200µL

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone Poly6190, is unconjugated and specific for the deltaN isoforms of human p63 (Gene ID: 8626; also known as TP63). The antibody recognizes deltaN p63-α, -β, and -γ, which lack the N-terminal transactivation domain; the deltaN isoforms are generally dominant to and repress the TA isoforms. The p63 protein is localized to the nucleus and plays roles in epithelial stem cell regeneration, epidermal morphogenesis, limb development, and stratification.

Verified applications include immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunofluorescence microscopy (IF), and Western blotting (WB), with reported use also in immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suggested starting dilutions are 1:200 - 1:500 for ICC/IF and 1:500 for WB. The antibody has been verified for labeling human airway epithelial basal cells cultured in PneumaCult™-Ex Medium in submerged cultures and in PneumaCult™-ALI Medium at the air-liquid interface. The product is of the IgG isotype and was purified by antigen-affinity chromatography.

The product is formulated as a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is stable at -20°C when stored undiluted. According to the manufacturer's safety data sheet, the preparation is not classified as hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) or the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), has a clear liquid appearance, and 50% of the mixture consists of ingredients of unknown toxicity; Glycerol (CAS 56-81-5) comprises 50% by weight.
