Anti-Hu OCT4 (OCT3), 3A2A20, PE, 25tests

A mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody supplied by STEMCELL Technologies that targets human octamer-binding transcription factor 4 (OCT4), also known as OCT3 or OCT3/4. OCT4 is an ~40 kDa homeodomain transcription factor belonging to the POU family, expressed in undifferentiated human embryonic stem (ES), induced pluripotent stem (iPS), embryonal carcinoma (EC), and embryonic germ (EG) cells. The target binds the octamer motif 5'-ATTTGCAT-3' and OCT4 levels are down-regulated during differentiation.

The antibody, clone 3A2A20, is conjugated to PE (phycoerythrin) and has an IgG2b, kappa isotype. It was raised against recombinant partial human OCT4 protein (amino acids 1-141). Target antigen is OCT4 (OCT3); alternative names include OCT-3, OCT-4, OCT3, octamer-binding transcription factor 4, POU domain class 5 transcription factor 1, and POU5F1 (Gene ID: 5460). Species reactivity is human and the host species is mouse.

Verified and reported applications are flow cytometry (FC). For flow cytometry, the suggested use is 5 μL per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL or per 100 μL of whole blood; titration is recommended for optimal performance. The product is formulated as a phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin, purified by affinity chromatography. It is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted; do not freeze and protect from prolonged light exposure. For research use only.
