Anti-Hu OCT4 (OCT3), 3A2A20, 25µg

STEMCELL Technologies offers this mouse monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody, Clone 3A2A20, raised against human OCT4 (OCT3), an approximately 40 kDa homeodomain transcription factor of the POU family. The unconjugated reagent binds the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3') and is reactive with human OCT4.

OCT4 is expressed in undifferentiated human embryonic stem (ES), induced pluripotent stem (iPS), embryonal carcinoma (EC) and embryonic germ (EG) cells, and is down-regulated during differentiation, making it a widely used marker of pluripotency and of certain human malignant germ cell tumours. The antibody was generated using a recombinant partial human OCT4 protein (amino acids 1–141) and purified by affinity chromatography. Verified applications include flow cytometry (FC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunofluorescence microscopy (IF) and Western blotting (WB), and the clone has been verified for labeling human ES and iPS cells maintained in TeSR-E8, mTeSR1 and TeSR2 culture media.

The product is supplied as a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.05% sodium azide. Suggested starting concentrations are ≤ 0.1 μg per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 μL for FC, ≤ 2.5 μg/mL for ICC/IF, and ≤ 1 μg/mL for WB, with titration recommended for each application. The antibody should be stored undiluted at 2–8 °C; do not freeze.
