Anti-Hu Keratin 18, DC-10, UC, 100µg

This purified mouse monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies targets human Keratin 18, a type I intermediate filament protein expressed abundantly in epithelial cells and used as a marker of epithelial differentiation and epithelial-derived carcinomas. The DC-10 clone recognizes an epitope conserved across simple epithelia and is supplied as 100 µg of unconjugated IgG1 in PBS buffer, supporting detection workflows including western blot, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry on frozen or formalin-fixed tissue sections, and flow cytometry staining of epithelial cell lines and primary cultures. Each lot is validated for reactivity against human samples, with cross-reactivity reported on certain non-human primate lines and minimal background on rodent tissue, making it a useful reagent for epithelial lineage tracing, carcinoma phenotyping, and apoptosis assays that monitor caspase-cleaved Keratin 18 fragments. Aliquot upon arrival and store at -20 degrees C in single-use working volumes to limit freeze-thaw cycles; under these conditions the reagent remains stable for at least 12 months.
