Anti-Hu HLA-DR, LN3, PE, 100tests

This mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone LN3, is conjugated with PE (phycoerythrin) and recognizes the HLA-DR antigen — a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II receptor encoded within the human leukocyte antigen complex on chromosome 6. HLA-DR is a heterodimeric transmembrane glycoprotein comprising non-covalently associated α (36 kDa) and β (27 kDa) subunits, and it plays a central role in the presentation of antigen-derived peptides to CD4+ T cells.

The antibody was raised against human peripheral blood lymphocytes and reacts with HLA-DR primarily expressed on the surface of antigen-presenting cells, including B cells, dendritic cells, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, and activated T and natural killer (NK) cells. The LN3 clone binds to an extracellular epitope that reportedly resides within the HLA-BR1 subunit of HLA-DR. It has been verified for flow cytometry (FC), with reported use in functional assays (FA), and for flow cytometry the suggested use is 5 μL per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL. The clone has also been verified for labeling dendritic cells generated from monocytes in culture.

The product is supplied as a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin, and was purified by affinity chromatography before conjugation with PE; the solution is free of unconjugated PE and unconjugated antibody.
