Anti-Hu CD90, 5E10, PE, 25tests

From STEMCELL Technologies, this PE-conjugated mouse (BALB/c) monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody (Clone 5E10) targets CD90 (Thy-1), a GPI-linked, N-glycosylated membrane glycoprotein that migrates at 25-37 kDa and is broadly distributed across immune, neural, stromal, and endothelial lineages. CD90 participates in signal transduction, cell adhesion and migration, neurite outgrowth, T cell activation, tumor suppression, and inhibition of hematopoietic stem cell proliferation and differentiation; it also serves as a ligand for β2 and β3 integrins and drives the synthesis of fibronectin, osteonectin, and thrombospondin.

The antibody reacts with human, rhesus, cynomolgus, baboon, pigtailed macaque, dog, and pig samples, and was raised against the human HEL erythroleukemia cell line. Verified for flow cytometry (FC) and also reported for FACS, the clone has been used to label human mesenchymal cells cultured with the MesenCult™ Proliferation Kit (Human). CD90 is expressed on thymocytes, neurons, some glial cells, fibroblasts, activated endothelial cells, certain leukemia cell lines, a distinct subset (< 1%) of CD3+CD4+ T cells in peripheral blood, and small subsets of CD34+ cells in fetal liver, umbilical cord blood, bone marrow, and mobilized peripheral blood, supporting its use alongside CD34 to identify and isolate hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells by FACS. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is 5 µL per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 µL or per 100 µL of whole blood, with titration recommended for each application.

Supplied as a clear liquid in phosphate-buffered solution (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin, the reagent was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with PE under optimal conditions, leaving it free of unconjugated PE and unconjugated antibody. The product is stable at 2-8°C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. According to its Safety Data Sheet, the mixture is not classified as a hazardous substance under GHS. For research use only.
