Anti-Hu CD90, 5E10, PE, 100tests

Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, this PE-conjugated mouse monoclonal antibody (clone 5E10, IgG1, kappa) targets CD90 (Thy-1), a GPI-linked membrane glycoprotein that serves as a marker for hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. The antibody was raised against the human HEL erythroleukemia cell line and has been verified for flow cytometry (FC), with additional reported use in fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS). It reacts with human, rhesus, cynomolgus, baboon, pigtailed macaque, dog, and pig CD90.

CD90 is N-glycosylated at two sites, giving rise to 25–37 kDa molecules. The protein participates in signal transduction, cell adhesion and migration, neurite outgrowth, T cell activation, tumor suppression, and the regulation of hematopoietic stem cell proliferation and differentiation. It acts as a ligand of β2 and β3 integrins and upregulates the synthesis of fibronectin, osteonectin, and thrombospondin. The 5E10 clone has additionally been verified for labeling human mesenchymal cells cultured in the MesenCult™ Proliferation Kit (Human).

The antibody is supplied in phosphate-buffered solution (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin, and has been purified by affinity chromatography before conjugation with PE. It is stable at 2–8 °C when stored undiluted; the product should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. The suggested use is 5 µL per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 µL or per 100 µL of whole blood, with titration recommended for each application. The product is intended for research use only.
