Anti-Hu CD90, 5E10, AZ, 25tests

A mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone 5E10, conjugated to APC (Allophycocyanin) and raised against the human HEL erythroleukemia cell line. It recognizes CD90 (Thy-1), a GPI-linked, N-glycosylated membrane glycoprotein (25–37 kDa) involved in signal transduction, cell adhesion and migration, neurite outgrowth, T cell activation, tumor suppression, and the regulation of hematopoietic stem cell proliferation and differentiation. CD90 is a known ligand of β2 and β3 integrins and upregulates synthesis of fibronectin, osteonectin, and thrombospondin.

The reagent shows reactivity with human, rhesus, cynomolgus, baboon, pigtailed macaque, dog, and pig samples. It has been verified and reported for flow cytometry and is commonly combined with CD34 for identifying and isolating hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells by FACS. The antibody has also been verified for labeling human mesenchymal cells cultured in MesenCult™ Proliferation Kit (Human).

The product is supplied as a clear liquid in phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin, purified by affinity chromatography and free of unconjugated APC. Store undiluted at 2–8 °C; do not freeze and protect from prolonged exposure to light. The mixture is not classified as hazardous according to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) or the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard. For research use only.
