Anti-Hu CD73, AD2, BT, 50µg

STEMCELL Technologies offers a biotin-conjugated mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody (clone AD2) specific for human CD73, also known as ecto-5'-nucleotidase. CD73 is a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein expressed on the surface of subsets of B and T cells, follicular dendritic cells, mesenchymal stem cells, endothelial cells and epithelial cells. The antibody was raised against a human pre-B leukemia cell line immunogen in BALB/c mice and is reactive with human, rhesus, chimpanzee, and pigtailed macaque samples.

CD73 forms a homodimer of ~70 kDa subunits and catalyzes the hydrolysis of 5'-adenosine monophosphate (AMP) to form adenosine, playing a pivotal role in the activation of P1 adenosine receptors by regulating extracellular adenosine concentrations. It also functions as a co-signaling molecule on T cells and as an adhesion molecule mediating lymphocyte interactions with the endothelium and follicular dendritic cells. CD73 serves as a marker for lymphocyte differentiation and for identifying undifferentiated mesenchymal stem cells, and is highly expressed in many types of human and mouse cancers where it has been implicated in tumor growth control.

Verified applications include flow cytometry (FC); reported applications include FC and immunofluorescence (IF). For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.5 µg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 µL volume, with titration recommended for optimal performance. The antibody is supplied in phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and has been purified by affinity chromatography prior to conjugation with biotin; the solution is free of unconjugated biotin. The product should be stored at 2 - 8°C undiluted and should not be frozen.
