Anti-Hu CD71, OKT9, PE, 25tests

A monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies targets the human CD71 molecule, also known as the transferrin receptor. The antibody is clone OKT9, a mouse IgG1, kappa isotype reagent, and is supplied conjugated to PE (phycoerythrin) for use in flow cytometry workflows.

CD71 is expressed at high levels in actively proliferating cells, making this clone suitable for assessing transferrin receptor expression on human cell surfaces. The OKT9 clone is verified for flow cytometry applications. Supporting data shown by the manufacturer uses CD3+ T cells isolated from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), stimulated with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 antibodies prior to staining.

As a PE-conjugated reagent, the antibody is appropriate for multicolor flow cytometry panels when protected from light. Recommended storage is 2–8°C, shielded from light to avoid photobleaching.
