Anti-Hu CD56 (NCAM), HCD56, BT, 100µg

Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, this biotin-conjugated antibody reagent targets human CD56 (NCAM) and is designated Clone HCD56. CD56 (NCAM) is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily containing 5 Ig-like domains and two fibronectin type-3 domains in its extracellular portion. The ~140 kDa isoform of CD56 is considered the prototypic cell surface marker on human NK cells, with around 90% of NK cells expressing CD56 at low density and ~10% expressing the protein at relatively high levels. CD56 is also variably expressed by NK-T cells, neurons, muscle cells, some stem cells, and in vitro-cultured T cell clones, as well as by several tumor types including myeloma, neuroblastoma, and small cell lung carcinoma.

The HCD56 clone is a mouse IgG1, kappa antibody and has been verified for flow cytometry, with additional applications including CyTOF and immunohistochemistry. This antibody clone has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits, including the EasySep™ Human CD56 Positive Selection Kit (partial blocking may be observed) and the EasySep™ Human NK Cell Enrichment Kit.
