Anti-Hu CD56, HCD56, AD, 100tests

A mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, conjugated with Alexa Fluor® 488, that recognizes human CD56 (also known as Leu-19, N-CAM, NCAM-1, or NKH1), a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily that mediates cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesion. Clone HCD56 was raised against full-length human CD56 protein and has been verified for flow cytometry, including purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits for CD56 positive selection and NK cell enrichment.

CD56 is regarded as the prototypic cell-surface marker on human NK cells, expressed at low density on around 90% of NK cells and at relatively high levels on approximately 10%. It is also variably expressed by subsets of NKT cells, neurons, muscle cells, some stem cells, in vitro-cultured T cell clones, and several tumor types, including myeloma, neuroblastoma, and small cell lung carcinoma. The antibody is supplied as a clear liquid in a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin, and was purified by affinity chromatography prior to conjugation. The product is stable when stored undiluted at 2 - 8°C; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. It is classified as a laboratory reagent and is intended for research use only, not for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
