Anti-Hu CD45RA, HI100, BT, 25µg

Mouse monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies (clone HI100) that targets human and chimpanzee CD45RA and is supplied conjugated to biotin. The reagent binds an extracellular epitope on the CD45RA isoform of CD45, a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the protein tyrosine phosphatase family (receptor class 1/6 subfamily). Excision of exon 4 produces the ~220-kDa CD45RA isoform, which is expressed on naïve T cells, subsets of B cells and monocytes, and on medullary thymocytes. CD45RA enhances signaling through both the T cell receptor and B cell receptor, and the HI100 clone is widely used together with anti-CD45RO antibodies to distinguish naïve from memory T cells, including for identifying the suppressor/inducer subset of CD4+ lymphocytes. The proportion of CD45RA+ T cells typically decreases with age.

For flow cytometry, the manufacturer suggests ≤ 0.5 μg per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 μL, and recommends titrating the antibody for optimal performance in each application. The reagent is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide, and is purified by affinity chromatography before conjugation; the resulting solution is free of unconjugated biotin. The product is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted, should not be frozen, must be protected from prolonged exposure to light, and remains usable until the expiry date on the label.
