Description

A FITC-conjugated mouse monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, clone HI30, recognises all isoforms of human CD45. The antibody is of the IgG1, kappa isotype, was raised against full-length human CD45 protein, and was purified by affinity chromatography. It cross-reacts with chimpanzee CD45.

CD45 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on most hematopoietic cells, with the exception of mature erythrocytes, platelets, and plasma cells. It is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase family and participates in immunoregulatory processes including cell activation, growth, differentiation, and oncogenic transformation. The HI30 clone binds the leukocyte common antigen (LCA), an extracellular region common to all CD45 isoforms. Alternative splicing of exons 4, 5, and 6 generates isoforms with molecular masses in the range of 180 - 240 kDa.

The product is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide, 0.1% gelatin, and less than 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin, and is supplied as a clear liquid. According to the manufacturer's safety data sheet, the product is not classified as hazardous under the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) and contains no substances considered hazardous to health at the given concentration. STEMCELL Technologies manufactures the antibody under an ISO 13485-certified quality management system. The product should be stored undiluted at 2 - 8 °C, protected from prolonged exposure to light, and not frozen. For flow cytometry, the manufacturer's suggested usage is ≤ 0.25 µg per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 µL, with titration recommended for each application. The product is for research use only and is not intended for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
