Anti-Hu CD38, HIT2, FI, 100tests

STEMCELL Technologies offers this Anti-Human CD38 Antibody, Clone HIT2, conjugated to FITC, for research use. The HIT2 clone reacts with CD38, an approximately 45 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by many cell types, especially leukocytes. CD38 functions as an ectoenzyme (ADP-ribosyl hydrolase) with both cyclase and hydrolase activities, and mediates lymphocyte activation, adhesion, and metabolism. CD31 is a known ligand for the receptor. In humans, CD38 is expressed by the majority of hematopoietic cells at levels that vary according to differentiation and activation status, being highly expressed on activated T and B cells and plasma cells, and is also found at high levels in several tissues, including brain, kidney, liver, ovary, pancreas, placenta, testis, and some types of cancerous tissue.

This mouse IgG1, kappa monoclonal antibody is provided in multiple conjugate formats, including Alexa Fluor 488, APC, biotin, FITC, PE, and unconjugated. Clone HIT2 has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep kits, and may be used in flow cytometry and cell isolation. Recommended research applications include cell separation, CyTOF, flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and Western blot.
