Anti-Hu CD34, 8G12, PE, 100tests

STEMCELL Technologies offers this mouse (BALB/c) monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody (Clone 8G12) conjugated to PE (Phycoerythrin), raised against the human cell line KG-1a, and reactive with human CD34. CD34 is an ~105–120 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of most human hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs), as well as on endothelial cells and some tumor cell lines. The frequency of CD34+ cells is low in bone marrow (1–4%), cord blood (~1%), and peripheral blood (<0.1%). The 8G12 clone recognizes a class III epitope that is resistant to neuraminidase and O-glycoprotease, and does not recognize rhesus macaque CD34. Also known as Gp105-120 and My10, CD34 (Gene ID 947) is used to identify and isolate HSPCs capable of reconstituting hematopoiesis after transplantation.

The antibody has been verified for flow cytometry (FC). For flow cytometry applications, the suggested use is 20 µL per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 µL, with titration recommended for optimal performance in each application. The product is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline containing 0.1% sodium azide and gelatin, and was purified by column chromatography.

For storage, the antibody remains stable at 2–8°C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen, and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. This product is intended for research use only and is not intended for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic uses unless otherwise stated.
