Anti-Hu CD34, 581, AD, 100tests

From STEMCELL Technologies, this Alexa Fluor® 488–conjugated monoclonal antibody (Clone 581) targets human CD34, an approximately 105 - 120 kDa type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein. CD34 is expressed on the surface of most human hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, as well as on mesenchymal stem cells, embryonic fibroblasts, endothelial cells, neurons, and some tumor cell lines. The antigen is expressed only transiently during hematopoiesis, with frequencies of approximately 1 - 5% in bone marrow or cord blood and approximately 0.1 - 0.5% in peripheral blood.

Clone 581 is a mouse IgG1, kappa antibody that recognizes a class III CD34 epitope resistant to cleavage by neuraminidase and O-glycoprotease. The antibody has been verified for cell isolation and flow cytometry, and is additionally validated for immunocytochemistry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and CyTOF applications. CD34 is thought to mediate attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or to stromal cells during early hematopoiesis, and to participate in lymphocyte recruitment through binding to L- and E-selectin.

The manufacturer's safety data sheet describes the reagent as a clear liquid and classifies it as not a hazardous substance or mixture according to the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) or the Globally Harmonized System (GHS).
