Anti-Hu CD34, 581, 100µg

This monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies targets the human CD34 surface marker and is supplied as Clone 581. CD34 is a cell surface glycoprotein expressed on most human hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, while being absent on mature blood cells, making it a widely used marker for identifying and characterizing HSPCs from bone marrow and blood.

The antibody is verified for use in cell isolation and flow cytometry, and is offered in multiple formats including unconjugated and fluorochrome-conjugated versions such as Alexa Fluor® 488, APC, Biotin, FITC, and PE. Flow cytometry data on human peripheral blood mononuclear cells demonstrate its use for direct phenotyping, while in conjunction with EasySep™ immunomagnetic positive selection kits, Clone 581 is listed as a recommended reagent for assessing the purity of isolated CD34+ fractions.

Because the EasySep™ Human CD34 Positive Selection Cocktail employs a class II anti-CD34 clone that may block some class I and II anti-CD34 antibody clones during flow cytometry purity assessment, alternate detection clones such as Clone 581 are recommended for downstream readouts. CD34 is often used in combination with markers such as CD38, CD45RA, CD90, and CD49f to distinguish HSPC subsets, since most CD34+ cells do not co-express lineage markers such as CD2, CD3, CD11b, CD11c, CD14, CD16, CD19, CD24, CD56, CD66b, and CD235.
