Anti-Hu CD33, P67.6, PE, 25tests

Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, this reagent is a mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody (clone P67.6) conjugated to PE (phycoerythrin) that targets human CD33 (Siglec-3), a 67 kDa type I transmembrane sialoadhesin of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The antibody was raised against FMY9S5 cells expressing the CD33 gene and purified by affinity chromatography, with the final solution reported to be free of unconjugated PE and unconjugated antibody. It is supplied as a clear liquid in a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin.

CD33 is expressed on committed myeloid progenitor cells, monocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells, mast cells, resident macrophages, subsets of B cells, and activated T and NK cells; in peripheral blood it appears at high levels on monocytes and at lower levels on granulocytes. The clone is described as a major marker used to differentiate myeloid from lymphoid or erythroid leukemias. According to the manufacturer's product information, the suggested use for flow cytometry is 5 μL per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL, or per 100 μL of whole blood, with titration recommended for each application. The product is stated to be stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted, and should not be frozen or exposed to light for prolonged periods.
