Anti-Hu CD33, HIM3-4, PE, 100tests

From STEMCELL Technologies, this Anti-Human CD33 Antibody, Clone HIM3-4 is a mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody conjugated to PE (R-phycoerythrin). It specifically recognizes CD33 (Siglec-3), an approximately 67–75 kDa type I transmembrane sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The antibody was raised against the NFMY9s human cell line and reacts with human and chimpanzee CD33.

CD33 is expressed on committed myeloid progenitor cells, monocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells, mast cells, resident macrophages, subsets of B cells, and activated T and NK cells, and serves as a major marker for distinguishing myeloid from lymphoid or erythroid leukemias. Clone HIM3-4 binds the extracellular C2 Ig-like domain of CD33 without blocking subsequent binding of clones P67.6, WM53, and WM54, and uniquely recognizes both CD33M and CD33m isoforms. The antibody has been verified for flow cytometry and reported for use in FACS, and is validated for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ Human CD14 Positive Selection Kits.

The product is supplied as a liquid in an aqueous buffer containing 0.09% sodium azide. It was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with PE under optimal conditions. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 5 µL (0.5 µg) per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 µL; titration is recommended for optimal performance. Store undiluted at 2–8 °C; do not freeze, and protect from prolonged light exposure.
