Anti-Hu CD3, UCHT1, PE, 25tests

A mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, conjugated to PE (Phycoerythrin), targets the CD3 antigen (also called CD3e or CD3epsilon). Clone UCHT1 was raised in a BALB/c mouse using human infant thymocytes followed by Sézary T cells as the immunogen. The reagent reacts with the ~20 kDa CD3ε subunit of the human T cell receptor (TCR)/CD3 complex and shows reactivity with human and chimpanzee samples.

The CD3 complex is expressed on ~95% of mature T cells and NKT cells, and variably on thymocytes, and a majority of T cell neoplasms also express CD3. The antibody is verified for flow cytometry (FC) and is supplied as a clear liquid. It is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide, 0.1% gelatin, and < 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin, and was purified by affinity chromatography.

According to the manufacturer's directions, the antibody is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. A suggested use for flow cytometry is ≤ 0.06 µg per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 µL, with titration recommended for optimal performance for each application.
