Anti-Hu CD3, UCHT1, BT, 25µg

A biotin-conjugated mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody from STEMCELL Technologies that recognizes the ~20 kDa CD3ε subunit of the human T cell receptor (TCR)/CD3 complex. The target is expressed on the surface of ~95% of mature T cells and NK-T cells, variably on thymocytes, and on a majority of T cell neoplasms. The CD3 complex, assembled from combinations of CD3γ, δ, ε, η and ζ subunits, associates non-covalently with the TCR and mediates signalling following antigen recognition.

The antibody is raised against human infant thymocytes followed by Sézary T cells and is of the IgG1, kappa isotype, produced in BALB/c mice. It cross-reacts with chimpanzee CD3. Applications verified by the manufacturer include flow cytometry (FC); reported uses include functional assay (FA), flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunoprecipitation (IP). The clone has been validated for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.5 μg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 μL volume, with titration recommended for each application.

Supplied as a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide, the reagent was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with biotin under optimal conditions; the solution is free of unconjugated biotin. The antibody is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted and should not be frozen.
