Anti-Hu CD3, UCHT1, AD, 100tests

This monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone UCHT1, in an Alexa Fluor® 488 conjugate format, binds the CD3ε subunit of the human T cell receptor (TCR)/CD3 complex. The antibody recognizes a ~20 kDa target expressed on the surface of ~95% of mature T cells and NKT cells, and variably on thymocytes, with a majority of T cell neoplasms also reported to express CD3. The CD3 complex is assembled from combinations of CD3γ, δ, ε, ζ, and η subunits, associates non-covalently with the TCR, and functions in transducing antigen recognition signals into the cytoplasm of T cells and in regulating cell surface expression of the TCR.

Flow cytometry data supplied by the manufacturer demonstrate labeling of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), buffy coat nucleated cells, and HetaSep™-treated whole blood cells, with side-by-side staining against a mouse IgG1, kappa isotype control antibody. The reagent is also referenced as part of workflows for the immunomagnetic negative selection of untouched human T cells directly from whole blood, from HetaSep™-treated whole blood, or from washed leukapheresis samples.
