Anti-Hu CD3, SK7, FI, 25tests

A mouse monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies that recognizes the human CD3 ε subunit of the T cell receptor (TCR)/CD3 complex. The clone SK7 reagent is conjugated to FITC (fluorescein isothiocyanate) and is supplied as a clear liquid in a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin. The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and the solution is free of unconjugated FITC.

The reagent reacts with a ~20 kDa component expressed on ~95% of mature T cells and NKT cells, and on a majority of T cell neoplasms, with variable expression on thymocytes. Species reactivity has been verified for human and chimpanzee samples. The antibody is of the IgG1, kappa isotype and was raised against human thymocytes in BALB/c mice; the relevant gene identifier is 916. Flow cytometry is the verified application, with additional reported use by flow cytometry.

For flow cytometry, the suggested use is 5 µL per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 µL or per 100 µL of whole blood, with titration recommended for optimal performance in each application. The product is stable at 2 - 8°C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. Per the manufacturer's safety documentation, the mixture is not classified as a hazardous substance under GHS or the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard.
