Anti-Hu CD25, BC96, FI, 25tests

A mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, Clone BC96, FITC-conjugated and intended for flow cytometry. The reagent specifically binds human CD25, a 55 kDa type I integral transmembrane glycoprotein also known as the IL-2 receptor alpha chain (Tac, p55). CD25 is the low-affinity receptor for Interleukin-2 (IL-2) and forms a high-affinity receptor complex in association with IL-2 receptor β (CD122) and the common γ chain (CD132).

CD25 is expressed on antigen- or mitogen-activated T and B cells, monocytes, macrophages, and regulatory T cells, and the co-expression of CD25 with CD4 and FOXP3 is considered a phenotypic signature of regulatory T cells. The antibody can be used to identify T cell subsets in viral infections such as HIV and HTLV. Clone BC96 also cross-reacts with rhesus, cynomolgus, baboon, chimpanzee, and pig-tailed macaque CD25.

The product has been verified for flow cytometric analysis of CD25 expression on cultured human T cells activated with ImmunoCult Human CD3/CD28 T Cell Activator or ImmunoCult Human CD3/CD28/CD2 T Cell Activator, with a suggested usage of 5 μL per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 μL staining volume. It is supplied as a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) BSA, purified by affinity chromatography and free of unconjugated FITC.
