Anti-Hu CD235ab, HIR2, FI, 25µg

This mouse monoclonal IgG2b, kappa antibody from STEMCELL Technologies is conjugated with FITC and recognizes human CD235ab (Glycophorin A/B), binding an epitope common to the N-terminal region of CD235a (glycophorin A) and CD235b (glycophorin B). The HIR2 (GAER2) clone shows higher affinity for CD235a than CD235b and agglutinates untreated erythrocytes. CD235ab is expressed on early- and late-stage erythroblasts, mature erythrocytes, and erythroid cell lines such as K562 and HEL, but not on other cell types.

The reagent was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal region of human CD235ab and was purified by affinity chromatography; the resulting solution is free of unconjugated FITC. It is supplied in a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2 containing 0.09% sodium azide. Flow cytometry is the verified and reported application, with a suggested use of ≤ 0.2 µg per 1 × 10^6 cells in 100 µL. The antibody is stable at 2–8 °C when stored undiluted; it should not be frozen and should be protected from prolonged exposure to light. The supplier's safety data sheet classifies the preparation as not hazardous under GHS or the 2012 OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, and the product is intended for research use only.
