Anti-Hu CD20, 2H7, FI, 25tests

A FITC-conjugated mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody from STEMCELL Technologies, clone 2H7, targets the human CD20 antigen — a non-glycosylated ~35 kDa type I transmembrane protein belonging to the MS4A family. The antibody recognizes an epitope mapped to the amino acid sequence YNCEPANPSEKNSPST within the large extracellular loop of CD20.

It reacts with CD20 expressed on pre-B cells, resting and activated B cells, some follicular dendritic cells, and a subset of T cells, with B-cell expression lost upon differentiation into plasma cells. Cross-reactivity has been demonstrated across multiple primate species, including rhesus, cynomolgus, baboon, chimpanzee, capuchin monkey, Nancy Ma's night monkey, pigtailed macaque, and squirrel monkey. The antibody was raised against human tonsillar B cells and purified by affinity chromatography prior to FITC conjugation, with the final preparation free of unconjugated FITC.

The antibody has been verified for flow cytometry and cell-separation applications, including purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits. It is supplied as a phosphate-buffered solution at pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin. For stability, the product should be stored at 2 - 8 °C undiluted, protected from prolonged exposure to light and not frozen.
