Anti-Hu CD20, 2H7, BT, 100µg

This biotin-conjugated monoclonal antibody from STEMCELL Technologies specifically targets the human CD20 antigen, a non-glycosylated type I transmembrane protein of the MS4A family with an apparent molecular weight of ~35 kDa. CD20 is expressed on pre-B cells, resting and activated B cells, some follicular dendritic cells, and a subset of T cells, with expression being lost upon differentiation into plasma cells. Clone 2H7, a mouse IgG2b, kappa isotype raised against human tonsillar B cells, recognizes an epitope mapped to the YNCEPANPSEKNSPST sequence within the large extracellular loop of CD20.

The antibody has been verified for flow cytometry and is reported for immunohistochemistry, and it has also been validated for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep™ kits. The reagent shows cross-reactivity with rhesus, cynomolgus, baboon, chimpanzee, capuchin monkey, Nancy Ma's night monkey, pigtailed macaque, and squirrel monkey. It is supplied as a clear liquid in an aqueous buffer containing 0.09% sodium azide, purified by affinity chromatography, and is stable when stored undiluted at 2 – 8°C; freezing should be avoided. For flow cytometry, a starting usage of ≤ 0.25 μg per 1 x 10⁶ cells in 100 μL is suggested, with titration recommended to optimize performance for each application.
