Anti-Hu CD2, RPA-2.10, PR, 25tests

Manufactured by STEMCELL Technologies, this PerCP-conjugated mouse monoclonal IgG1, kappa antibody (clone RPA-2.10) is directed against human CD2, an approximately 50 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily with two Ig-like domains located in its extracellular portion.

The reagent has been verified for flow cytometry and reacts with CD2 on peripheral T and NK cells, dendritic cells, erythrocytes, most thymic T cells, subsets of thymic B cells, and on the endothelium. CD2 expression appears early during T cell differentiation, and aberrant expression has been observed in some lymphomas and myeloid leukemias. The RPA-2.10 clone is reported to block the mixed lymphocyte reaction, and the primary ligand for CD2 is CD58 (LFA-3), with additional ligands comprising CD15 (SSEA-1), CD48, and CD59. The antibody clone has been verified for purity assessments of cells isolated with EasySep kits, including the EasySep HLA Chimerism Whole Blood CD3 Positive Selection Kit.

Species reactivity includes human, rhesus, cynomolgus, baboon, chimpanzee, capuchin monkey, pigtailed macaque, squirrel monkey, and pig. The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with PerCP under optimal conditions; the solution is free of unconjugated PerCP. It is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide, 0.1% gelatin, and less than 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin. The suggested use for flow cytometry is ≤ 0.125 µg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 µL, with titration recommended for optimal performance for each application. Store undiluted at 2 - 8°C; do not freeze and protect from prolonged exposure to light. The product is stable until the expiry date on the label and is for research use only.
