Anti-Hu CD2, RPA-2.10, FI, 500tests

STEMCELL Technologies offers this FITC-conjugated mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa antibody (clone RPA-2.10) raised against human CD2 recombinant protein. The antibody recognizes CD2, an approximately 50 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, with two Ig-like domains located in its extracellular portion. It has been verified for use in flow cytometry (FC) and cell separation (CellSep).

Reported species reactivity includes human, rhesus, cynomolgus, baboon, chimpanzee, capuchin monkey, pigtailed macaque, squirrel monkey, and pig. CD2 is broadly expressed on peripheral T and NK cells, dendritic cells, erythrocytes, most thymic T cells, subsets of thymic B cells, and on the endothelium; aberrant expression has been observed in some lymphomas and myeloid leukemias. The RPA-2.10 clone blocks the mixed lymphocyte reaction.

The reagent is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.09% sodium azide, 0.1% gelatin, and less than 0.2% (w/v) bovine serum albumin, and is purified by affinity chromatography, supplied free of unconjugated FITC. For flow cytometry, the suggested use is ≤ 0.25 µg per 1 x 10^6 cells in 100 µL. The product is stable at 2 - 8 °C when stored undiluted; do not freeze and protect from prolonged exposure to light.
